Rough take of a newly created song with references to Goldilocks & the three bears as well as Hansel and Gretel.
wandering around the forest
came upon a house of stone
chair was nary high enough
or bed was nary comfortable
probably'd never think you'd notice
how empty is the porridge bowl
you knew better
you're no saint
wandering around the forest
came upon a house of scones
cage was nary hot enough
her ovens burned them all to bones
you'd never think you'd notice
well how emptys your porridge bowl
and your found half awake
miles away
find your face ten miles away
we'll find a way
to have a wake
have a wake
half awake

Improvised jam later revisited in band form with Millennial Villain: https://repo.bandcamp.com/track/before-i-was-born-demo-2
I have memories
I have memories from before I was born
I have memories from before I was born
I have memories from before I was born
I have memories
before I was born
I was born into this just a little more pissed off
than average
I have memories from before I was born
I appreciate the smell of gunpowder
I have recollections of hiding behind round stone
I have memories from before I was born
I was born into this just a little more pissed off
than average
I have memories from before I was born
I was born into this just a little more pissed off
than average
I have memories from before I was born
I remember falling to the floor
I remember hearing "you want more?"
I remember talking out the door
I remember memories from before
I was born

A new abandoned take on a still unperfected song that's been kicking around, no overdubs but new bridge.
just because I am human I want
just because I am human I need
just because I am human I want you back
and I'd walk up right to you
if I could get over the heart break
if I could get over the heart break
if I don't get over the heart break
if I could get over the heart break
its because I am human I think I know what I want
its because I am human I think I know what I need
its because I am human that I walk up right to you
but you still seem to walk more upright than me
if I could get over the heart break
if I could get over the heart break
if I don't get over the heart break
if I don't move on to some upper nother plane
I don't get enough faith based from what you've done
can abstain
upon another plane

aka "Cross My Heart" - a little more fleshed out with acoustic bass and harmony vox - another recycle/rewrite that came about playing alone on Ninjam.
I wish that she knew
all that she wants from this world
I wish she'd keep her family close
I wish that I was in her thoughts
it aches my heart
to hope to die
cross my heart
that I won't pry
she gets what she wants
and no sooner forgets
she'll get what she wants
and then she so quickly forgets
I wished on a star
the only one that I see is in her eyes
I wish for her happiness
I wish that I wouldn't have to hope
it aches my heart
to hope to die
cross my heart
that I won't pry
she gets what she wants
so quickly forgets
she gets what she wants
and quickly forgets

Another abandoned recycle/rewrite with acoustic bass + guitar dubs.
I hit my bone and spilled some marrow
I jumped in bed despite all common sense
I hit my bone and spilled some marrow
I jumped in bed ignorant of consequence
and I don't know why you feel the need to deceive
and you don't know why you feel the need
I hit my head and spilled some common sense
I hit my heart and bled innocence
I hit my head and lost all sense of senseless senses

instrumental - a rewrite from the short lived project with Chris and Paige. the intro riff is on loan from the bass off featured in Scott Pilgrim vs the World but good luck proving it in court.

Rewriting one of the first improvised jams of my old band HE, it was reinvented during a brief reunion in 2015. Also known as Every Smug Band Has A Pearl Jam Who Loves Them after it was combined with the song Smug. With acoustic bass and harmony vox.
and it got this way by being that smug
and I got this far on needless anger
and I got this way by being that smug
and I got this far on needless anger
every band
has a pearl jam
who loves them
god damn

Early on the project was going to be a Violent Femmes inspired record. This is as close to proof of that you will find here. Started on acoustic bass and built around it, it became a staple of Millennial Villain - which had no bass player...
pay the police off
old mans pockets
hems down by the floor
he never reaches bottom
as he puts back in his soul
just shaking hands with the devil
hands with the devil
old mans pockets
reach down to the floor
and he never hits the bottom
as he puts back in his soul
their world is warming and I'm ok
wearing a sweater up till may
their world is running on one ruled fate
we can't overpopulate
their world is coming down on them
do you see any other end
hate filled peace talks
old man's minions
down on the senate floor
you'll always get the better tool
for a dollar more
just shaking hands with the devil
hands with the devil
old mans pockets
reach down to the floor
and he never hits the bottom
as he puts back in his soul
our world is shifting on its plates
our building codes aren't up to date
our foundation is crumbling
our current troubles are currency
driven problems bring reaction solution
it leads always to genocide

Trying to salvage the album with another last ditch improvised idea:
for you I think that I could overcome
for you I would try anything
I think I could overcome
for you I would try anything
and I just need you to know
how much you heal
this no good feeling pain
I think that I could overcome
for you I'll try everything
you'll have us just because
I would try anything
I just need you to know

The last improvised track before hitting the wall on the whole album:
if I could've lived anywhere on this earth
then I would pick another section of this state
and now I'm never made to say where I came from
and just like they don't know now
till it's too late
now it's too late

Acoustic jam from January that went without revisiting:
I don't have to feel like I'm
empty on the inside
I don't feel like I have to feel
empty on the inside
well I've got the iPhone blue
I don't have to feel like I'm
empty on the inside
I don't have to feel like I'm
empty on the inside
I don't have to feel like I'm
empty on the inside
well I've got the iPhone blues
I don't have to feel like I'm
empty on the inside
I don't have to feel like I'm
empty on the inside
I've got the iPhone blues

A reinterpretation of a super melodic instrumental jam with friends that I wanted to shape into something so I rerecorded electric guitar and bass to a click track and abandoned it.
